My winter jungle

Orchids and geraniums crowd the table in our library at home. The IKEA chair next to the flowers proves to be a popular spot to sit and read or knit. A couple more months until we can plant flowers outside!

Spring, not yet...

The huge snow banks bordering Doolitte's parking lot remind me that spring isn't here yet. Every day is one day closer!

a modified Colonel Sanders

Many fast food restaurants line Town Centre Drive in Eagan. By messing with the photo editing options in iPhoto on my iMac, I made this "ordinary" Kentucky Fried Chicken photo, not so ordinary. What do you think?

Their small hands

Together they make a beautiful photo, the fingers and hands of our 11, 8, and 5 year old daughters. It reminds me of the Bible verse:
Luke 18:16 But Jesus called for them and said, "Let the small children come unto me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs." See Katie Lloyd's other meme participants here.

Tuesday's 8 am view over Thomas Lake park will likely look much different after this week. It's warming up and the snow is melting quickly!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Driving by the O'Reilly Auto Parts store on Cliff Road on Wednesday night, I remembered that Thursday is the lucky day of the Irish! It's also our oldest daughter's birthday.... but we didn't name her Patricia.

Built in 1902

In my humble opinion, I think this beautiful church is the closest we have to a "cathedral" in Eagan. Click here to see the interior of Trinity Lone Oak Lutheran Church.

Rest in peace

Eagan was founded in 1860 and Trinity Lone Oak Cemetery has existed since 1880. It was a quiet, grey, snowy walk through their cemetery.

Ford #10

Driving along Lone Oak Road, I spotted this old Ford pickup truck sitting next to a rundown house waiting for spring. Why number 10?

That ol' red barn

This barn and its original, green farm house sit next door to Trinity Lone Oak Lutheran Church. I'll get the farm house in a photo next time. Find Tricia's "Barn Charm" meme here.
