America's Memorial Day

On Monday, May 25, we honor and remember the American soldiers who fought in previous wars: WWI, WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, etc. Memorial Day is a national holiday across our country and a time when families and friends come together. Fort Snelling National Cemetery, situated on 436 acres with 181,284 interments, is located north of Eagan in Minneapolis.

These rows and rows of white headstones are always a sobering site at the cemetery. I have a rather unique one on my blog today; come visit.

My father-in-law is buried at Fort Snelling as his my mother-in-law. It is one of the nicest cemeteries I've seen.

Nice shot, Leif.
